Frequently asked questions

How do I get the most from PrecisionOS VR training?

We recommend using our VR training for 10 to 15 minutes ahead of key cases so you feel more prepared and confident stepping into the OR.

The more prepared you are, the more your Attending will let you do, and that means better training because the best training happens in the OR.

Can I receive training on the VR headset and platform to maximize my subscription benefits?

Yes. We offer training in two ways. You can take our self-paced online Onboarding course or reach out to Support@precisionostech.com and request an Onboarding session with our product expert.

How long is the free trial?

Our free trial is 5 days.

What content do I get in the free trial?

Our free trial consists of our three newest apps. BodyWorks with Delphi (our AI mentor),  FractureLab with the Case of the Month, as well as Shoulder Arthroscopy. If you haven't subscribed after 6 days, you will automatically be set up to get the benefits of the Explore tier; you don't need to do anything. 

What if I don’t want to do a free trial?

We don’t require you to do a free trial. If you want to subscribe to Optimize or Accelerate, you can do that without starting the free trial. To sign up for Explore, start the free trial, and we will automatically enroll you after the trial period ends.

What if I want to subscribe to all the packages?

If you want all package contents, subscribe to Accelerate, as it includes the full PrecisionOS library, which features additional procedural content and all advanced educator tools at a reduced rate. 

What if I don’t have a VR headset?

PrecisionOS VR is built for the Meta Quest VR headset. We recommend the Meta Quest 3 or 3s. You can purchase one here: Meta

How do I rent content?

To rent content, you must have an active subscription to one of the PrecisionOS products. Just purchase one of the three product packages, and then you can rent any other content in the PrecisionOS case catalogue library. Download our full VR rental library, contact support, and let us know which applications you would like to rent. We will send you a payment link to pay for the number of applications you've requested. Once you've paid, we will send the applications to your headset for 48 hours. 

What content can I rent?

Once you have an active subscription with PrecisionOS, you can rent any application in our content library. Download the VR Rental Library.

How long is the rental period?

Rental content is available for 48 hours. 

What if I don’t get a chance to practice the content within the 48 hours?

Try to rent when you know you’ll have a few hours of free study time. However, we all have busy lives. If you don’t get a chance to practice the content during the 48 hours, reach out to support@precisionostech.com.

How many applications can I rent at once?

We find that most people can't get enough practice time for more than one or two applications.

So, we recommend renting no more than three applications per 48 hours.

Additionally we restrict rentals to five applications per 48 hours. 

When can I rent content?

You can request rentals during our standard office hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. EST. If you would like to practice on weekends, please request your rentals by Friday before 5:00 p.m. so we can provide you with the necessary content. 

How do I access the “Create a Case” area of FractureLab?

Our FractureLab product allows you to fracture bones yourself, enabling you to practice cases that are upcoming or ones you know you need practice with. Please reach out to support@precisionostech.com to ask for access.

How do I ensure Delphi, the Conversational AI Mentor, is enabled?

Delphi, the AI Mentor in BodyWorks, allows users to interact via voice to explore anatomy, ask questions, and receive real-time guidance in VR. However, for Delphi to work properly, Audio Recording must be enabled on the Meta Quest headset. To Enable Audio Recording

  • If you missed the initial pop-up prompt during installation, you can still enable it manually:
  • Put on your Meta Quest headset.
  • Go to Settings > Privacy & Safety.
  • Select Installed Apps.
  • Find and select BodyWorks.
  • Tap Microphone.
  • Make sure Record Audio is ON. Note: Enabling this allows you to use voice commands and interact naturally with Delphi in BodyWorks.
How do I set up and run a multiuser/collaborate session?

Collaborate or multiuser mode is an essential feature of the PrecisionOS platform as it allows multiple users to meet up in the same virtual OR and communicate through speech. Can I record my session and share it with others?

Yes, the PrecisionOS platform enables you to create and record educational content for your research papers, residents, patients, social media communities, and various platforms.
